SED exhibitor Red Rhino Mini Crushers beat off competition to supply machines for the Haiti disaster effort.
Red Rhino is proud to be playing a major role in helping to re-build Haiti following a devastating earthquake that destroyed much of the country in January. Red Rhino has secured a contract to supply 24 machines to CHF International – a US-headquartered, non-profit aid organisation helping the country to recover and rebuild. Six months on, it is estimated that 98 per cent of the rubble left behind remains uncleared and Red Rhino’s mini crushers will be used to crush bricks and building materials so they can be used to rebuild Haiti’s schools, hospitals and homes.
Julian Mik (General Manager), said: “No one could have failed to be moved by the harrowing television pictures of the devastation the earthquake caused and the effect it had on the Haitian people and we are delighted that we can play a part in the recovery process. With up to 20 million cubic metres of rubble remaining on the ground in Haiti, there is a lot of work to be done.
