SED 2011 Gathers Speed
The SED team has reported the first 2-weeks in March a ‘bumper’ fortnight in terms of stand sales as more exhibitors confirm their presence at the 2011 show, which takes place at Rockingham Motor Speedway, Corby, Northamptonshire from 17th -19th May next year. Tim Porter, head of sales said, “We have experienced a great deal of interest in next year’s event, which is really encouraging. We already have more than 90 confirmed exhibitors from all sectors of the construction industry, including cranes, earthmoving, recycling and concrete, as well as support from the commercial vehicle and transport area.”
Porter concluded, “Hyundai and Hydrema are the latest key exhibitors to take stand space, alongside Armcon Cementech and Ladybird Crane Sales. Things are certainly shaping up for SED 2011 and we are anticipating a hugely successful event!”
Hyundai has secured the largest stand ever at SED – a whopping 1728m²! Liesbeth Boels is Hyundai’s new marketing and communication specialist; she said “We have committed to exhibit at SED because we think it brings great value for our dealers and customers. Our participation enables us to stay on top of the latest industry trends, gain market insights, make key industry contacts and solidify relationships with current customers. At next year’s SED we will show some of our new 9 series excavators and wheel-loaders.”
Dump truck manufacturer Hydrema is also coming back to the show after a year’s sabbatical. Hydrema’s sales director Tim Wadsworth said, “SED has always worked as a springboard for the rest of the year for us and after taking a break we can look forward to a well attended show with rejuvenated customers in 2011.”
