Nylacast Introduce New Eco Friendly Engineering Plastics
Market leading Engineering Polymer Solutions Company Nylacast introduce a new formulation of Eco PA6 Nylon.
As a natural product castor oil is an ideal substitute for mineral oil based caprolactram to give a unique product. Nylacast has developed its own formulation of an Eco PA6 Nylon based upon the increased use of Castor Oil whilst keeping the traditional strengths of the mineral based materials.
Nylacast offer a cost effective alternative to traditional engineering metals. Nylacast components are self-lubricating – eliminating routine/costly maintenance, exceptionally resistant to wear and abrasion, stable, corrosion and chemical resistant, typically 1/7th the weight of steel, 25 times more wear life than phosphor bronze, produced in high visibility colours for increased safety, and have high impact strength.
Nylacast has been one of the more fortunate of company’s and despite the economic downturn has expanded its business. Thomas Lynch, Nylacast marketing manager said, “During 2009 Nylacast bucked the trend and expanded its Construction operations and increased its presence in support of the Construction market. Nylacast will be back at SED 2011 and will be exhibiting, amongst other products Bigfoot, the original industry approved outrigger pad, along with a range of wear pads, sheaves, pulleys, gears, rollers, bushes and many other wear parts in unique self lubricating materials.
