Indespension Introduce New Pedestrian Roller

rollerIndespension is a market leading designer, manufacturer and seller of a comprehensive and high quality range of trailers and towed plant components, security devices and related parts.  The company will be back at SED in 2011.

The company has recently launched its brand new Pedestrian Roller – which ticks all the boxes and more!

Working with a number of leading companies who used pedestrian rollers Indespension were given a brief to improve on the current market place design.

The most common criticisms were bouncing of the roller on the trailer during transit and the frequency and expense that companies experienced in replacing bearings due to wear and tear. The design team at Indespension came up with a solution: a chain tensioning system to clamp to the trailer (rather than traditional ratchet straps - which also fray) and used the same bearings as used for the company’s heavy duty 3500kgs plant trailers onto the roller trailer.

Further improvements included reducing the loading ramp angle by 20% on other designs for safer controlled loading of the machine; an extending and removable lighting system (to avoid costly breakages; a captivated lock down clamp that cannot be removed preventing it from being 'mislaid'.

Also new from Indespension is the Low Loader range - a brand new design of Plant Trailer. Built fresh from the ground up the Low Loader range is packed full of new features. A brand new chassis design has been developed to enable the company to reduce the bed height whilst utilising  13” wheels.

That means the new Low Loader range can achieve a loading angle of 15 degrees - the lowest loading angle on the market!  In addition the low bed height enhances load stability while the new chassis design means for lighter unladen weights, therefore increasing the fuel efficiency of the towing vehicle. The bolt-on chassis construction means that replacing damaged components is possible, whilst also supporting the floor, making the transportation of drum rollers possible. A new coupling has enabled a higher road clearance for the jockey wheel when retracted.

To see the full range of trailers visit Indespension at SED 2011 from 17th – 19th May at Rockingham Motor Speedway, Corby,  Northamptonshire.
